This talk will explore the preliminary results of the most recent dating program conducted at the Northern Area of the East Neolithic mound of Çatalhöyük. The Northern Area was explored and excavated under the Çatalhöyük Research Project with hopes to glean into a Neolithic neighborhood. The excavation campaigns that took place in the North Area between 1995-1999 and 2000-2008 were unable to determine the contemporaneity of the different buildings that were exposed. Excavations that took place from 2010 to 2018 focused within a smaller area with aims to uncover the stratigraphic relationships between the different exposed. The results of this final excavation campaign have contributed greatly to the dating program, which utilizes a Bayesian statistics accentuated with an iterative approach to radiocarbon sampling and chronology modelling. Years of collaboration and iteration have resulted in the construction of punctuated histories of the Northern Area of Neolithic Çatalhöyük.
