The Archaeological Research Facility formerly hosted a collection of manuscripts on file that resulted from projects carried out between 1948 and 1971 by the University of California Archaeological Survey (later the ARF) organized and directed by Professor Robert Heizer. In 1993 this collection was transferred to the Phoebe Hearst Museum of Anthropology. Many of these manuscripts contain detailed site report information and are therefore not available online for public viewing. They are available at the discretion of the museum for consultation by professional archaeologists. A catalog PDF of available manuscripts can be viewed at the Museum's website but not the manuscripts themselves:
