This week's theme is The Etruscans. This theme is inspired by the extensive Etruscan collections at the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum, located right across the plaza from the ARF. You may explore the Hearst Museum's collections through an online portal where you can easily browse through more than 1,500 objects and ten 3D images  of Etruscan objects.

While you're browsing the Hearst's collections, listen to a podcast on The Etruscan Civilization, produced by BBC Radio as part of their "In Our Time" series.

You may also want to check out What Etruscan Sounded Like -- and how we know, a fun 8-minute video produced by the series NativLang on YouTube.

And, finally, a 26-minute podcast from The World in Words series at PRI.org explores linguistic and genetic clues around the (contested) origins of the Etruscans.

If you really want to delve into the Etruscans, check out the 24-course Great Courses lecture series by Steven Tuck called "The Mysterious Etruscans" (however, it is not free).
