Ask an Archaeologist Episode 10: Network analysis and museums-based research with Sara Ann Knutson
Sara Ann Knutson is a 4th year PhD candidate in the archaeology program at UC Berkeley. She has a master's degree in Archaeology from the University of Cambridge and a BA in History from the University of Michigan. She has lived in three foreign countries to conduct archaeological research and as a visiting scholar at the University of Cologne, Germany, she recently completed research on medieval economic networks and the circulation of ivory between medieval Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the North Atlantic. She is currently working on a dissertation that examines global socio-economic networks across Eurasia from the perspective of medieval Arab coins.
