Cesca LaPasta

I am a PhD candidate in Classical Archaeology and my research focuses on Roman slavery and the experiences of enslaved people particularly in a domestic context. I primarily work in Pompeii and have been a part of the Pompeii Artifact Life History Project (PALHIP) since 2022. My research is interdisciplinary, utilizing literary evidence, visual evidence, and material culture. I am dedicated to using legacy data and engaging with archival material in order to share information on objects that have been excavated but never published.
