Overview: The ARF's Hitachi TM1000 microscope can be used to produce high magnification images by scanning the surface of a specimen. We will go over sample preparation as well as how to operate the TM-1000. If you have certain samples in mind that you would like to use with the SEM, I encourage you to bring a couple of them to the workshop. That way you will be able to see how your specific material that you’re working with will be prepped, mounted, and recorded.
