Getting to the Point: Donna Nash
Site grids are used for regular sampling, for laying out excavation units, and for planning geophysical surveys. This tutorial demostrates how create a regular site grid, shift the grid to originate at an existing datum, and rotate the grid around the datum.
Geophysical surveys are often conducted in a local coordinate system and later needs to be integrated into a project GIS for alignment and comparison with other spatial features.
